Eila Kreivi is Chief Sustainable Finance Advisor at the European Investment Bank (EIB). Prior to this, she headed the Bank’s Capital Markets Department for 11 years. Kreivi has been instrumental in developing sustainable finance in the EU for example by chairing the Executive Committee on Green Bond Principles between 2015 and 2018 and representing EIB at the European Commission’s Platform on Sustainable Finance.
Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD)
Emily McKenzie is the Technical Director at the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD). Previously she has led the analytical team that produced the independent, global Dasgupta Review on the Economics of Biodiversity, based at HM Treasury in the UK, and was seconded to the Capitals Coalition Technical Group. Other previous roles include working with the WWF Global Science team, Joint Nature Conservation Committee and the Pacific Islands Applied Geoscience Commission.

De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB)
Marc Reinke is the head of the Sustainable Finance Office at De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB). DNB is one of the frontrunners when it comes to integrating the consideration of nature-related financial risks beyond climate change in its core tasks. Reinke also co-chairs the taskforce on Nature-related Financial Risks within the Network of Central Banks and Financial Supervisors for Greening the Financial System (NGFS).

Petteri Orpo is the Prime Minister of Finland. During his position as the Minister of Finance in the Juha Sipilä’s Government (2016-2019) he founded the international Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action. Orpo and his cabinet aim to halt biodiversity loss through cooperation and turn positive environmental impacts into an export product.

Kai Mykkänen is the Minister of Climate and the Environment of Finland. Prior to this, he was the Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the National Coalition Party. Mykkänen worked as the Minister of Foreign Trade and Development in 2016–2018 and as the Minister of Interior in 2018–2019. He was also in response of the National Coalition’s energy policy under the previous government.

Marja Nykänen is the Acting Governor the of Bank of Finland during Governor Olli Rehn’s leave of absence. She is responsible for financial market stability issues, macroprudential policy and economic analyses. Nykänen is also Chairman of the Board of the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA), and has worked in the financial sector for over 35 years.
Sirpa Pietikäinen is a fourth-term Member of the European Parliament. She is a prominent figure in Finnish and European politics, representing the National Coalition Party in the European Parliament. During her political career, she has been involved in various roles, including serving as Environment Minister between 1991 and 1995. Pietikäinen is committed to solving economic, social, and environmental issues through international cooperation.
Ville Niinistö is a Member of the European Parliament. He is the Greens/European Free Alliance group’s coordinator in the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) and a member of the Committee on Environment. Niinistö served as Finland’s Minister of the Environment from 2011 to 2014. Niinistö is a former member of the Finnish parliament, former party leader of the Green Party of Finland and a current member of the city council of Turku.
Miapetra Kumpula-Natri is a Member of the European Parliament and a member of the Social Democratic Party of Finland. Kumpula-Natri has been active in European politics, vigorously promoting a just and environmentally sustainable future with a focus on digitalization, climate change and equal rights. Before her career in the European Parliament, Kumpula-Natri worked as a Member of the Parliament of Finland for 11 years.

Carl Haglund is the CEO of Veritas Pension Insurance Company. Haglund is an active member of various company boards, the most recent being Aktia Bank and Enersense International Plc, and he has been the chairman of the board of Finnish Business and Policy Forum EVA since 2017. Haglund has previously worked in various industries, e.g. as Managing Director and member of the global leadership council at Accenture and as Minister of Defence.

Katja Keitaanniemi is the CEO of OP Corporate Bank and is a member of OP Cooperative’s Executive Management Team. She is also a member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Audit Committee at Uponor, and has previously held executive positions in various Nordic financial organizations. Anne-Maria Salonius is Head of the Bank of Åland’s operations in Finland and a member of the Executive team. Anne-Maria is also a Jury Chairperson in the Baltic Sea Project. Anne-Maria’s passion is to save the Baltic Sea and she has been a key figure within the Bank of Åland in setting up the Baltic Sea Project and the Baltic Sea card. Both initiatives are central in continuing the Bank of Åland’s long-term environmental work.
Arno Ahosniemi is the CEO of Finance Finland. He has worked in various editorial roles in the Finnish media field, including serving as the Editor-in-Chief of Kauppalehti, one of Finland’s prominent business newspapers. Ahosniemi has also worked as the Brussels correspondent for Kauppalehti. At Finance Finland, Ahosniemi uses his leadership role to underscore the significance of the financial sector in driving positive action for nature.

Jyri Häkämies has been the CEO of the Confederation of Finnish Industries since 2012. Prior to this, he held positions as the Minister of Economic Affairs, the Minister of Defense, and as the Minister responsible for state ownership steering. The Confederation of Finnish Industries has actively promoted the recognition of the emerging impacts that nature loss has on Finnish businesses, supporting Confederation members and society at large to integrate nature into strategy and business practices.
Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra
Atte Jääskeläinen is the president of the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra, working to tackle the most pressing challenges and opportunities for Finland’s future. He has extensive experience from leading Finnish news organizations as well as from education and research policy. Sitra has been at the forefront in urging action to combat nature loss, working with partners across society to understand the roles of various stakeholders to build a nature-positive Finland.
